Joy-Piʻilani Omalza passed away on April 19, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Joy was known for her kind heart, unwavering loyalty, radiant smile, infectious laughter, beautiful singing voice, and love of dancing. She shared her creativity through art, handmade gifts, and delicious home-cooked meals. Above all, Joy had a remarkable gift for making others feel seen, loved, and appreciated. Her love of elephants reflected the quiet strength, loyalty, and devotion that defined the way she lived and loved.
Joy is lovingly remembered by her beloved daughter, Iliana Piʻilani Omalza-Kirk; her parents, Jerry and Charlene Omalza; her sister, Cindy Luevano and brother-in-law, Jose “Pep” Luevano; her brother, Cade Omalza and sister-in-law, Shyrleen Omalza; her sister, Amber Poso'a and brother-in-law, Isileli Poso'a; and her cherished nieces and nephews: Jessica Luevano; Tavita Lealao, Monica Luevano; Aubrey Mahoney; Tatiana Luevano, Lisa Curtis and her husband Matthew Curtis, Kaelin Posoʻa; Tahia Olsen; Malia Losalia Posoʻa, Pitanaʻa Posoʻa, Caden Omalza, and Clinton Omalza.
The family warmly welcomes all who knew and loved Joy to celebrate her life and the love she shared with so many.
