Judith “Judy” Rich passed away peacefully on May 18, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Judy leaves behind a legacy of faith, kindness, and unwavering love.
She was the proud mother of six children: Darrin Kahala, Edmond Kahala, Fern Kaleikini, Makaio Rich (who preceded her in death), Lokelani Dailey, and Kona Rich. She was also a cherished grandmother and great-grandmother to many, each one touched by her gentle spirit and warm heart.
A devout Eastern Orthodox Catholic, Judy’s faith was central to her life. She shared her love for God through music, often playing her beloved ukulele and singing with the worship team. A faithful prayer warrior, she never hesitated to lift others in prayer and generously shared her faith with everyone she encountered.
Judy had a passion for cooking and baking and found joy in sharing meals with family and friends. She delighted in trying new foods and making everyone feel welcome at her table. Her constant companion, Baba — her loyal dog of over 15 years — was always by her side and held a special place in her heart.
Judy will be deeply missed, but the love she poured into her family and community will continue to live on through the generations she nurtured and inspired.
We love you, Mom. Your love will guide us always.
