Julia Kilantang Obituary
Julia Kilantang, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother passed away on August 5, 2023 peacefully at home. She was 98 years old and lived a very full life. Julia was born on February 16, 1925 in Hilo, Hawaii. She was the youngest of (9) children. She had (4) children: Evangeline, Julie Michele, Aurora Jane and Michael Vincent, and is currently survived by Julie Bauguess (Thomas) and Aurora Scott (Richard), (13) grandchildren, (35) great-grandchildren, and (16) great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Julia retired from First Hawaiian Bank where she was a head teller, first working at the Waianae branch before transferring to the Pearl City branch where she retired. She also worked at Bank of Hawaii in Waianae prior to First Hawaiian Bank. After retiring, she and her husband traveled the world and participated in may senior citizen events.
Funeral service will be held on October 10, 2023, at Lady of Good Counsel in Pearl City. 10:00 a.m. family viewing. 10:30 a.m. public viewing.. 11:30 a.m. funeral mass. 1:30 p.m. burial service at Mililani Memorial Park.
According to Julia’s request, attire is to be white or Hawaiian print; please no black attire, black slacks or skirts will be acceptable.
