Julio Roberto Lopez, 62, of Waianae, HI passed away on April 4th, 2023. Julio Roberto Lopez was born on March 4th, 1961 in Guatemala. Immigrating to the United States in early adulthood, Julio cultivated his life alongside his beloved family.
He was a loving father, partner, and friend. He enjoyed making others laugh with his jovial and endearing sense of humor and it was his nature to find the silver-lining in all of life's circumstances.
Julio lived life to the fullest and played just as hard as he worked. He enjoyed a long, successful career as a certified automotive technician. He was incredibly generous, devoting time to others to share his knowledge and passion of cars.
A man of many interests and talents, he loved riding motorcycles, racing cars, collecting and shooting firearms, and playing guitar. Above all, he was a family-man and cared deeply for his children and loved-ones.
Julio was preceded in death by his loving parents, Julio Lopez and Maria Gonzales; sisters, Norma Gramajo, Rosa Lopez, and Carolina Lopez; and nephew, Sergio Maldonado.
He is survived by life-companion, Sheila Silva; daughters, Mildred Rosario Lopez Mercado (Rafael), Luisa Adela Lopez Mercado (Luis), Catherine Diane Wallace (Scott), Emily Marie Brewster (Anthony), Tiana Kawamura (Shawn), Hoku Kealoha; sons, Brandon Daniel Wallace, Francis Kealoha (Katherine); brother, Carlos Lopez (Evelia); sisters, Carmen Maldonado (Jorge), Sonia Padilla, Maribel Lopez Gonzalez (Roberto); grandchildren, Anthony Jr., Amelia, Luisangela, Luisana, Derek, Leialoha, Nainoa, Kala’i, Kekai; former spouse and friend, Catherine Wallace; and many nephews and nieces.
Julio will be forever loved and missed.
