Kazue Nakamura, 93, wife of the late Gary Nakamura, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2025. She was born on October 22, 1931 in Hilo, Hawaii.

A trendsetter of her time as an athlete of multiple sports in high school, traveling on her own to Colorado to earn her teaching degree and minoring in music in college, utilizing both degrees throughout her career on Oahu, whether teaching general math to algebra to being HS Math Team advisor for students in the DOE, GED preparation for adults, or piano lessons at the YWCA and after school program at Maryknoll. All this in the midst of raising her four children.
Her humble and kind demeanor coupled with a passion and determination of fairness to help others led to a truly remarkable life by an amazing and inspiring woman who quietly left her mark and fingerprints on so many lives. She will be remembered and missed greatly. We praise and glorify God for the opportunity to have had her in our lives.
