Robin Morisawa
Kelan Tsutomu MorisawaJuly 29, 1982 - April 21, 2024Kelan Tsutomu Morisawa was a beloved son, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin and friend. Ever since he worked at Alan Wong’s, Kelan became an avid foodie, watching the Food Network and all of its programming, wowing his family with homemade pizzas and the unconventional Thanksgiving meal of furikake and shoyu salmon, and plating simple peanut butter sandwiches to make them look so special. He enjoyed indulging in such gastronomical treats as steamed opakapaka “surrounded by homemade ramen broth with truffle and Hawaiian butter†(food review). Of course, he still enjoyed the more traditional local favorites such as chicken katsu and loco moco. Kelan is remembered for his love of baseball and his more recent sports activity with shooting pool and throwing darts, even winning prizes at dart tournaments. But mostly, Kelan will be remembered for loving his family, caring for his mom, walking his sister’s dog, Piper, and his occasional check-ins with family and friends. Although Kelan will be deeply missed, we rejoice in the knowledge that his eternity is with Jesus Christ, and we will see him again. Kelan is survived by his mother Sharon Morisawa, sisters Robin (Oliveira) Morisawa and Joy Morisawa-Auhoy, brother-in-law Aaron Auhoy, niece Ashlyn Auhoy, nephews Mitchell Oliveira and Jayson Auhoy, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. ###
