My condolences and prayers go out to the family. He was a great teacher. An eye for art ,and knew how to help you better your technique. Very special , and pretty rare for a teacher to take pride in their teachings, as well as their students. He did all he could to make his students enhance their talents to what they should be . A great teacher, will greatly be missed .

My heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to Teri and all the other members of the family. I am so very, very saddened to learn of Larry's loss.
Mr. Taguba made such an impact on those around him, both at school and in the broader community. I was most fortunate to work with him on presenting his students' art work to the Wahiawa community each summer at the public library. He made such an impact on his students and cared deeply for them. Each year during the art exhibit former students would come back to the library and talk about how much they learned in Mr. Taguba's classes, not only about art, but about growing up and becoming good members of society. He made a difference for so many people and we will all miss him deeply.
Mr. Taguba inspired me as a new art teacher. He welcomed me and other art educators into his classroom and demonstrated some of the magic his students experienced in his drawing classes. I loved his straightforward yet thoughtful approach to teaching. I will miss this fine colleague. Thank you, Larry, for guiding me towards a stronger place of learning.Â
This deeply saddens me. He was one of my favorite teachers. He truly left a permanent mark in my creative life and career, without his inspiration and passion, I would not be where I would be today. He will be missed.

My Uncle was a great man. A caring and loving person who I will miss very much. In the moments we shared together , he not only inspired my musical and artistic interest, he showed me that it’s okay to be an adult and still love toys, and to embrace bright and complimentary colors. I will miss listening to him play the guitar. I will miss the joy of a glimpse at his artwork in progress or a recently completed work. Shootz, i love him and I’m simply going to miss him so much. For our family, there is grace and peace in knowing he is in Heaven watching over us......If I close my eyes, I can hear him playing the guitar....a hui hoa, Uncle. Aloha for all time.
