I met Ray at Second Baptist Church in Marshall Tx. He was a student at ETBC where my dad was a professor. Ray was a good hearted fellow who enjoyed everyone. He shared a bit of his culture with us at a fellowship group by doing a flaming torch dance for us. It was around 1961, maybe.
I was on active duty in the U.S. Navy and reported to Pearl Harbor in December 1991. I attended MBC for the next 2 years with my wife Vicki. Nothing but wonderful memories of the Pastor and Lena. May God bless the Viliamu family richly!
I knew Ray as a young man when he attended East Texas Baptist College (now a University). No doubt, those who knew him well have probably heard the story of how his arm was broken while arm wrestling. Well, I'm the person he was arm wrestling with. I am honored that God used me as an instrument to discover that a childhood cricket injury failed to heal properly.
