Leslie Lee Obituary
Born Hawaii September 21, 1932 and left us on April 23, 2022. At 89 he lived a long and full life. He is survived by his children Laurie, Bonnie, Liza and Steven, grandchildren Christine, Chester, Marcus, Mathew, Justin and Brielle and great grandchild Emily.
Growing up in Hawaii, he attended the Iolani School Nuuanu campus, graduated and attended UH and then Washington State College in Pulman to complete his architectural degree. He was an ROTC Air Force cadet and served in the Air Force as a 2nd Lieutenant while being stationed in Ayrshire, Scotland. This is where he met his future wife, Ellen Lawrie. They fell in love, marrried and their first child, Laurie, was born in Scotland.
He decided to enter private practice and returned to Hawaii. Upon receiving his architectural license, he went into partnership with Ben Lum, Clarence Miyamoto and Dennis Irie. The partnership was call LMLI and stayed in business up thru his retirement in 1998.
He was a dedicated family man who always enjoyed Sunday family dinners and when the opportunity arose, travel with the family or getaways to Las Vegas with Ellen. He loved poker and the hosted all night poker Fridays at his house for many years with his friends, so when he an Ellen started to visit Vegas, he was more than happy to teach her poker and 21.
He is remembered by his family for his gentle, kind and always "Be Happy" attitude. He now is able to join Ellen and be together again, soul mates for live and beyond.
