Lilian Bejer Obituary
On February 19, 1950, in Cebu City, Philippines, Lilian Cubol Sistoso was born to parents Gumersindo and Marciana Sistoso. She was the only daughter and middle child of 2 brothers, Vincente (76) and Jaime (72).
On May 27, 1970, Lilian married Rudy Bejer (aka Peter) and had 2 children in the Philippines, Jennifer and Rodney. On September 27, 1970 they moved across the pacific to start a new life in Hawaii, USA.
It was here In Hawaii, that they nestled in the town of Whitmore Village and then Wahiawa, where they made their home and had 3 more children, Dorothy, Walter and Lorraine.
Being a workaholic, Lilian had multiple jobs to support her family. She worked at the Dole Cannery, the cafeteria at Makalapa School , as a cook and service worker at Conroy Grill Schofield Barracks, a night cook at Shiro’s Saimin at the Waimalu Shopping Center, and in 1986, she settled into a career with the Army Air Force Exchange Services (AAFES) as a Food Court Manager at Hickam AFB and Scholfield Barracks. On February 12, 2012, after 26 years of service, she retired as the Subway manager from the Fort Shafter PXMRKT.
Lilian was a social butterfly, loved by many co-workers, friends, and family. She loved cooking, singing Karaoke, playing cards and Mahjong, and was always one of the first to hit the dance floor with Peter and her kids at parties. Her main love was being a caring wife, mother, and grandmother to her family. She loved her husband and was married for 53 years until Peter’s passing in June of 2023.
She is survived by her children: Jennifer, Rodney, Dorothy, Walter and Lorraine along with 10 grandchildren: Josiah Bejer-Barro, Elijah Bejer-Barro, Aliyah Bejer-Barro, Shenaiyah Bejer-Barro, Xander Colon, Shayden Bejer, Dylan Bejer, Jayven Bejer, Skylah Kunihisa, and Kenna Kunihisa.
She was also blessed to be a great grandma to 6 great grandchildren: Jase, Sharlotte, Jayden, Ariah, Rylie and RJ.
She passed peacefully at her home in Wahiawa on November 3, 2024. She was 74 yrs. Old. She was surrounded by her loving family who took care of her during that time.
Until we meet again Mom, I hope you are singing and dancing with Dad, and together are at peace in Heaven.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at Mililani Mortuary Mauka Chapel. Visitation begins at 5:30 pm and service at 6:30 pm
Inurnment will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025, 9:30 am at Mililani Memorial Park Cemetery.
