Lionel P. Ramos' Obituary
Lionel Ramos Obituary
Lionel Patricio Ramos, 75, originally from Nanakuli, HI, was promoted into glory on January 3, 2024. He fought a gallant fight against cancer and passed gently into Heaven from his home in Makakilo, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Grunya Ramos, sons Lionel (Jill) Ramos and Landon (Jeannie) Ramos, grandchildren Yana, Jordin, Jaryn, Loghen, Jansen, and Leland, great-grands Malachi, Lanston, and Jaycie, brother Alvin Ramos, and sisters Kathleen Balderson, Angeline Unciano, and Mercedes Cardenas. Lionel attended Waipahu High School, class of '67. He served in the U.S. Army from 1967-1970, obtaining the rank of Specialist 5. He was a mechanic with Pacific Resources from 1972-1990 and a Licensed Real Estate agent from 1988-2008, where he was the top producing realtor with Century 21 Ron Nakatsu Realty for four consecutive years. Lionel had a quick mind, strong hands, charismatic personality, and generous spirit. He built a warm and welcoming home for his family, where the door was always open and the food was so ono. Lionel was an avid golfer and lifelong musician. He served on the worship ministry, and several other ministries, at Makakilo Baptist Church, and was a member of the Salvation Army Kroc Church. He loved a good custard pie. There is sorrow in the loss of Lionel, husband, father, Papa, brother, uncle, and friend to so many. But we can rejoice with God, knowing we will all see him again, for love is eternal with Jesus. He is not gone, only changed. When we encounter his spirit at unexpected times and places, we will pause and know he is still with us. My honey, you are truly "bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh."
Lionel's Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024 at The Salvation Army Kroc Center Hawaii, Ewa Beach.
