LOCARDIA MAKAIWA HANOA GOUVEIA, 74, of Hilo, Hawaii passed away on September 15, 2017 in Honolulu. She was born in Kau, Hawaii. Locardia retired as a heavy equipment operator at the Mauna Loa Mac Nut Farm. She is survived by her son, Frank M. Gouveia, Jr.; daughter, Jennifer N. Gouveia; hanai-son, Danny Saplan; hanai-daughter, Leslie Rosario; sister, Caroline Hada (Thomas); grandchildren, Ariel, Frank and Adrianna Cantiberos; hanai-grandchildren, Arniel Ubunero, Jr. and Peter Lewis Rosario; and great-granchildren, Maile and Kekoa Cantiberos. Visitation and Funeral Services for Locardia will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Kau Ward, 95-5682 Mamalahoa Highway, Naalehu, Hawaii, 96772. Visitation will take place from 9:00 am to 11:00 am and the Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 am. Casual Attire, Flowers Welcome.
