Louis S Ellis' Obituary
With a heavy heart we announce that Louis S Ellis, passed away at 76 years old at home on Sunday May 18, 2026.
Louie was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on July 20, 1949, to the late Lucy Kealoha Kauhini and Fredoricko Saulan Roquiero.
Known to be a hard worker throughout his life, He got drafted into the US Army and fought in the Vietnam war earning countless metals and a purple heart. He retired from US Shipyard supply center after 33 years.
Louis was reunited in heaven with his wife Shirley Ann Ellis and life long companion Cheryl Sayomi Ellis.
He is survived by his son Louis Saulan Keoni Ellis ( Cassie ) , James Jardine, Robert Jardine, 11 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren. Preceded in death by his only daughter Jeanette Sayoko Ellis and youngest son Wayne Thomas Ellis.
He is also loved by his sisters Evangeline Ellis- Kaili, Corina Ahuna and Brothers Herman Ellis, Rocky Otsuka and Freddy Otsuka.
Preceded in death by sisters Lei Kalama, Mary Ann Ellis, Marie Hulama, and Brothers Fredrick Ellis, Warren Ellis, and Raymond Ellis.
Many Nieces and nephews.
Services for Louis Saulan Ellis will take place at Mililani Mortuary Downtown
on Saturday August 1, 2026 from 9am-1pm. Burial to follow at 2pm at Mililani Park and Mortuary.
