Lucas "Rey" Reynaldo Ortega's Obituary
Lucas "Rey" Reynaldo Ortega was born October 17, 1944 in Ilocos Norte, Philippines. At the age of ten, he moved with his family to Oahu, Hawaii where he later attended Waipahu High School. In 1963 he married Clarita (Claire) and together they raised five boys. That same year he joined the United States Army, and after serving time in the Vietnam War, he was honorably discharged in 1971. Rey had a deep passion for music and loved to sing, especially Elvis songs and loved entertaining friends and family whenever he could. He was a baptized Jehovah's Witness who zealously served his community by sharing his faith with others. He is survived by his loving wife RamonaLee ("Mona"); sisters Catherine and Arlene; his four son's, Dwayne (Vina), Darin, Denny (Cheryl) and Donny (Amanda), as well as grandchildren and great grandchildren. Preceded in death by Clarita and son Derek.
Funeral Service will be held at the Kapolei Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness on January 31, 2026 at 5:30 pm.
