Magdalena Ebia Adaro's Obituary
Magdalena “Maggie” (Torricer) Adaro, 92, of Waipahu, Hawaii passed away peacefully at home on July 6, 2025.
Born on June 17, 1933 to Cesario Torricer and Demetria Ebia, she was raised in the Waipahu Sugar Plantation Village along with her eight siblings (Carmen, Juan, Emily, Felix, Alfredo, Antonio, Loretta and Vincent). Affectionately known as “Daling”, she developed a strong work ethic and independence as a child as she learned to clean, cook and tend to the needs of her younger siblings, nephews and nieces. This prepared her for a lifetime of raising her own children and helping others in need. She graduated from Waipahu High School in 1952 and held various positions at Pearl City Tavern, Deville, Kawano Store, AMFAC Plant Nursery, Waipahu High School, Pearlridge Fronk Clinic and Mon Petit Shoppe. She was a parishioner at St. Joseph Church and served as a member of the choir, Altar Society, Filipino Catholic Club and Rosary group. Maggie loved crafting, sewing, gardening, window shopping, dancing, singing and eating her favorite foods (spaghetti, saimin, custard pie and ice cream).
Maggie was preceded in death by her husband of seventy years, Alberto Sr. and her son, Dale. She is survived by her children, Alberto Jr. (Marvalee), Greg (Verna), Patrick, Gavin (Lisa), Trina (Gary), and Brady; eight grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren; and siblings, Emily Tomas, Loretta Domingo and Vincent Torricer.
Maggie will be remembered for her selflessness, kindness, generosity and strong faith. Her sense of humor and wisdom were gifts to everyone who knew her. To know her was to love her.
A funeral mass will take place at St. Joseph Church, 94-675 Farrington Highway, Waipahu on Monday, October 6, 2025. Visitation begins at 9:00 am, program at 10:30 am, and mass at 11:00 am. Burial will take place at Mililani Memorial Park & Mortuary at 12:30 pm followed by fellowship in the Mauka Dining Hall.
