Marcelina Dolor Doseo's Obituary
Marcelina Doseo Obituary
Marcelina (Marcy) Calderon Dolor Doseo, age 93 passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, December 19, 2024 in Aiea, Hawaii.
Marcelina, daughter of the late Santiago Dolor and Marcela (Augustin), was born on June 1, 1931. Marcelina (Marcy) worked as an Administration Assistant for Holmes and Narver at Hickam Airforce base and retired in 1988. During Mom’s retirement years she enjoyed managing the family farm in Captain Cook and was actively involved in various social clubs such as the Windward Orchid Society, the Cactus and Succulent Society of Hawaii, and the Ballroom Dance Association, where she enjoyed dancing the waltz and cha-cha at the Palladium.
Mom loved cooking for her ohana. You would always find her in the kitchen cooking her favorite Filipino dishes and baking a variety of pies during our ohana gatherings or in the yard tending to a variety of plants that she often placed on display at various plant events and earning prize ribbons.
Mom lived a full and active life up through the age of 90 years old. Our ohana will surely miss the love and care of mom in our lives but we do have the blessed hope of one day meeting at that great reunion in heaven above.
Preceded in death by her husband Philip Doseo Sr., sons Philip Doseo Jr (Thelma), Gjon Doseo (Bernice), sisters Pat Lee, Kay Laping, Julie Villanueva, brothers Jimmy Dolor, Sabo Dolor, Ernest Dolor, Dominador Dolor and Henry Augustin. Marcelina is survived by her daughters, Jannine (Clayton) Cobb Adams, Cizette Sato (Jamie), and Edee Nakamura (Bruce), sisters, Loretta Guillory, Shirley Ishikawa, Clara Sakamoto, brother, Jaime Dolor, eighteen grandchildren and twenty-eight great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, April 9 at Mililani Memorial Park - Mauka in Waipahu followed by burial services at 2:00 PM at the Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery in Kaneohe.
