MARCELINO GUSMAN
Forever as Spirit, Masa, 93, peacefully passed on a sunny afternoon on February 14, 2024 at home in Waipahu. On December 29, 1930, he was born in Pearl City to Marina and Serapio Guzman.
A 1950 Waipahu HS graduate, Masa served in the Army from 1950-56 when he met his surviving wife of 68 years, Kunie Takeda (from Tokushima) in Tokyo, Japan. Together their children are Robert, Gina, and Dori. Masa played football, a super bantamweight boxer, and a golfer. He retired from the Navy Public Works as a water treatment plant operator. He enjoyed gardening and lounging there in the sunlight, where he is always Present with us!
Grandchildren are Christine, Christopher, Bryan, Arlene. Great-grandchildren are Mikayla, Bryan Jr., Ainsley, Bryzen, Aliyah, Charlotte, Luna, Vivienne, Vera.
Celebration of Life: Aug. 31, 2024, Mililani Memorial Mauka Chapel. Visitation at 8:30AM. Service at 10AM.
