I had the great opportunity to help Mardell in the 1990's with various tasks when she was tutoring students at her home. She was so dedicated to helping her students be empowered and was an extremely smart, confident woman. I adopted one of her adult cats, a regal all white cat named Peter, who was one of the best cat companions I've ever had. For the short time I knew and helped Mardell, I never forgot her. She was a positive influence in my life. Sending best wishes and peace to family and friends.
