Marina De Vera Obituary
Marina Gabriel de Vera aka "Marie" aka "Mareng" of Aliamanu, was born in Manila, Philippines on March 3, 1932 to parents, Eduardo and Hermana Gabriel.
Marina was raised in Manila, Philippines. In 1971, as an adult, she moved to the United States of America. Oahu and Hawai'i was a place she loved and called her home. Besides raising her own children, "Nanay" was also a caregiver to many and helped raise her brother, nieces, nephews and the Javier grandchildren. On the evening of June 27, 2024, Marina passed away in the presence of her Hawai'i immediate family members. Marina was 92 years old.
She is survived and +predeceased by the following: Husband: Rodollfo Dioso de Vera, husband of 63 years Children: +Ray de Vera, Rob de Vera (Marlana), Mei de Vera, and Rose de Vera-Javier (Dino) Grandchildren: +Roland Dean, Ray Matthew and Rachel Faith Javier (Dino/Rose). Also Aliyah Rayne, Christopher James and Jonathan Anthony de Vera (Rob/Marlana) Great Grandchild: Master Roland Anthony Garperio Javier Siblings: +Norie Gabriel, +Fely Cruz, +Romeo Gabriel (Norma), Lumie Casal (Rudy), +Alfonso Gabriel (Sonia), Linda Gabriel, +Edwin Gabriel, Edmon Gabriel and +Rico Gabriel Also survived by many cousins, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces in USA and Philippines, and family pets.
Marina's eulogy will be shared at her services. The children have planned the following in honor of their beloved "Nanay":
