Marjorie H. Tanaka's Obituary
Marjorie was born on July 12, 1933, in Pā‘ahau on the Big Island. She attended Honoka‘a High School, and later graduated from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa with her Masters in Library Science. She went on to teach and eventually became the Librarian at Wahiawā Elementary School, where she retired.
She enjoyed traveling with friends and family, going on walks, gardening, and playing mahjong.
She was a loving mother to her daughter, Cobey, and a devoted grandmother to Noah, Jacob, Emma, and Ava. Spending time with her grandchildren and celebrating their successes were her greatest joy in life.
Marjorie had a strength that inspired everyone around her and a kindness that made people feel loved. She faced every challenge with grace and always put others before herself. We were beyond blessed to have had her in our lives.
May you celebrate the life she lived, honor the memories she leaves behind and know that the love she shared will stay in your heart forever.
