MARY ASAYO SAKAUE, 90 of Waipahu passed away on January 16, 2018 in Aiea. She was born in Honolulu, HI. She was a member of the Waipahu Soto Mission Fujinkai. Mary is retired from the federal civil service, Hickam Air Force Base. She loved handcrafts and Japanese Minyo dancing. She took care of others before herself, a very kind, helpful and humble person.
She is preceded in death by her husband Kiyoji 'Tiny' Sakaue and brothers Eddie, Richard & Roy. She is survived by her son Dan K. Sakaue, EdD; daughter Lynn Sakaue; sister-in-law Tsuyako Iwamoto.
Visitation will be 9:30 am Tuesday March 20, 2018 at Mililani Memorial Park and Mortuary's Mauka Chapel followed by memorial service at 10:30 am.
