Melvin Hoomanawanui, 80, resident of Kailua-Kona, passed away on September 29, 2020.
Melvin was a Fire Fighter 3 with the Honolulu Fire Department. He served as the President of Hawaii Motorsport Association for over 20 years.
He is survived by his wife Lani Hoomanawanui, daughters: Kahiwalani (William) Kaimi, Kauionalani (Jim) Danz, Kekuilani Kelekolio, Puanani (Reginald) Phillips, Honokalani Hoomanawanui and Pualani (Hope) Hoomanawanui; son: Kelii (Christina) Fernandez; brother, Calbert (Jackie) Wahinepio; 21 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by Melvin (Carrie) Hoomanawanui.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Mililani Downtown Mortuary (20 S. Kukui St., Honolulu). Visitation begins at 9:30 am and Service 10:30 am.
