Monique Fernande Sawa, 84, of Ewa Beach, Hawai`i passed away on July 9, 2025. She was born on July 8, 1941 in Vernon, France.
She is survived by her husband, Francis Sawa; sons, Jemel Michel (Cindy) Sawa, Thierry (Jackie) Sawa, and Xavier (Amanda) Sawa; sister, Gilberte (Patricia) Jonquet; grandchildren, Ashley Sawa, Melissa (Dion) Sawa-McMillian, Xavier Sawa, Jr., and Duke Sawa; great-granddaughters, Zoey McMillian, and Skye McMillian.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at Mililani Mortuary Downtown Chapel. Visitation begins at 9:30 am and service at 10:30 am. Burial to follow, 2:00 pm at Hawai`i State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe.
