MOSES "ANI" TAKAKI, JR., 87 of Aiea passed away on January 11, 2018 in Honolulu. He was born in South Kona, Hawaii. Ani was a U.S. Army Korean War Combat Veteran. He owned M. Takaki Painting. He is preceded in death by sons, Donald A. Yap (April 1, 2008) and Miles K. Takaki (January 21, 2014). He is survived by his wife Rosing "Rose" Takaki; son Tracy (Evelyn) Takaki; daughters Pearl (Manuel) Lara, Nadine (Dylan) Grace, Deonalee Naboa; sisters Rachel Kikumoto, Winona Elarinoff, Bernice (Liwai) Mitchell, Janet (Raymond) Quihano, Lana (Jose) Quedding; brothers Henry Takaki, Kenneth Takaki, John (Cherie) Kiaha, Merwyn (Carol) Takaki, Elton Takaki, Sylvester Takaki; 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 10:00 am Friday February 23, 2018 at Mililani Memorial Park and Mortuary's Downtown Chapel (20 S. Kukui St. Honolulu) followed by funeral service at 11:00 am. Burial will be 2:00 pm Friday February 23, 2018 at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery (45-349 Kamehameha Hwy, Kaneohe, HI).
