Nancy Uyehara Obituary
NANCY SHIGEKO UYEHARA, 81, of Honolulu, HI, passed away on June 16, 2024 at her care home in Waipahu. She was born in Honolulu on July 6, 1942. After leaving her long-time legal secretary position at the law firm of Takushi, Wong, Lee & Yee, she continued to work at her family business, Aloha Tofu Factory, Inc. until her retirement in 2012. Known for her warmth, generosity and gentle heart, she was loved by employees and customers alike.
The youngest of 6 children, she is survived by her brother Roy (Joanne), sister Yuri and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers, Kazuo (Jane), Jack (Barbara), and Sadayoshi (Rose). The family is especially grateful to Nancy’s long time caregiver, Grace Sacramento, for her patience and compassion during Nancy’s final years.
Services to be held on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Mililani Memorial Park & Mortuary Makai Chapel. Visitation from 5:30 pm to be followed by service at 6:30 pm. The family kindly asks for no koden (offerings) or flowers. Arrangements Provided By: Mililani Memorial Park & Mortuary
