Nathan Lagapa Obituary
Nathan Liko Lagapa, 65, of Kane?ohe, Hawai?i, passed away on July 2, 2025.
Born on March 30, 1960, in Honolulu, Hawai?i, Nathan was the beloved son of Esmiragdo Lagapa and Lillian Lei Lam Ho. He was a proud graduate of Castle High School, Class of 1978. Shortly after graduation, he began a long and dedicated career with the City and County of Honolulu, serving his community for 41 years — 38 of those years as a Refuse Collector. His work ethic, humor, and humility left a lasting impression on colleagues and friends alike.
Nathan was a man who found joy in life’s simple pleasures — especially golfing, spending time with family, and taking trips to Las Vegas. His laughter was infectious, his heart generous, and his presence deeply cherished by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dionicia Lagapa; his children, Natasha, Storm, McKenna, Ava, and Mia; his siblings, Esmiragdo “Buster” Lagapa Jr., Lisa McFarland, Chriselda “Sas” Lopes, and Maura Lagapa; his in-laws Willy & Judy Cayaban; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 8:30AM at Waikane Congregational Church. Family and friends are invited to honor and remember Nathan, whose memory will live on in the hearts of those he loved.
