Neil Ferido was born on November 9, 1978 Wahiawa, Hawaii. On May 7, 2022. Neil accidentally drowned in Lake Mead, Las Vegas, NV., he was 43. Born and raise in Wahiawa and attend Iliahi Elementary, Wahiawa Intermediate (middle) and Leilehua High School a graduate class of 1996. After graduating Neil joined the United States Army Active Duty in October 1996. He served in the US Army as Active Duty and also in the Army Reserves for a combined 25 years.
Throughout the years Neil was part of a few nonprofit organizations around the states. One was FEMA (Federal emergency management agency) and another was Bob Hope USO at LAX. Neil was always willing to help how ever he could. Members of the USO and the 311 Expeditionary Sustainment Command unit mentioned how great of a person he was, how Neil would be ready to assist with anything and everything. Neil was well respected in so many eyes. He was a great son, father, brother, uncle cousin, and friend. Neil with be missed but not forgotten.
Neil moved to Las Vegas, NV in 2019 before he got deployed to his most recent deployment in 2020 with the 311th Expeditionary Sustainment Command’s Syrian Logistics Cell (SLC) in Erbil, Iraq supporting over 900 Coalition Forces, US Forces, and Joint Special Operation Forces geographically-arrayed at ten bases in Northeast Syria within the U.S. Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve Combined Joint Operational Area (CJOA).
In 2021 He arrived back in the states to watch his daughter Saysha graduate from Leilehua high class of 2021. That summer he was so excited that she would be attending UNLV close to him. He is a proud man, a proud father. He would brag to coworkers and talk about her accomplishments to everyone.
Neil is pre - deceased by his youngest daughter Skylee Ferido along with grandparents Rockefeller Sr. and Matilde Ferido and Timotea Doro. Neil is survived by his daughter Saysha Nicole. Parents Rockefeller Jr. and Lilia, brothers Jessie and Rockefeller III, sister in-law Jelyn, nephew Chayzten Jayce, Sherwin Jr., Sister Cheryl and nieces Cheyanne, Angel and Kailie.
Wake Services will be held on Friday, July 29, 2022 at Mililani Mortuary Mauka Chapel. Visitation begins at 5:00 pm and Service 6:00 pm. Inurnment will be held on Friday, August 5, 2022 9:30 am at Mililani Memorial Park.
