Nelson Asuncion Obituary
Nelson Miguel Asuncion, 63, of Waipahu, Hawaii, sadly passed away on August 28, 2021. He was born on June 30, 1958, in Caloocan, Philippines to Julian and Augustina Asuncion. Raised in Wahiawa, Hawaii, he graduated from Leilehua High School in 1977. He attended Leeward Community College and worked at Tony Honda for a while. He later found work at Fred’s Produce as a delivery truck driver for many years and later ended up working for Armstrong Produce (Sysco Hawaii), also as a delivery truck driver. He was a very dedicated hard worker and hardly missed a day of work. He worked there for more than 15 years.
During his past time, he enjoyed golfing with his friends at various golf courses here on Oahu, on the outer islands, and also in Las Vegas.
He was a devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a very humble man and will be truly missed.
He is survived by brothers: Julian (Manon), Julius, Conrado; sisters, Thelma (Gary) Omalza, Jayne (John) Romero, Melanie; step-mother, Milagrina; many nephews and nieces and other relatives.
Private services were held on December 30, 2021, at Mililani Memorial Park & Mortuary.
