Odile Apo Obituary
Odile Dervily Apo of Pearl City Hawaii passed away just short of her 92nd birthday at her home Sunday morning, June 10 2018.
She is survived by her four children: Allen H. Apo of Pearl City, Danielle Brockett of Murfreesboro Tennessee, Michael K. Apo (SP. Leila), and Ariane Purcell (SP. Gordon) of Littleton Colorado. She is also survived by her brother Yvon Dervily.
She lived for her nine grandchildren; Gislaine, Kawika, Ginette, Joshua, Marcus, Yannick, Eric, Michael, and Ho'onani. She loved and was very proud of her 30 great-grandchildren and her one great-great granddaughter.
She came to the Islands in 1947 from Noumea New Caledonia to marry her Hawaiian Soldier, Herman Kema Apo who preceded her in death 5 years ago. She retired as a custodian from the LDS church after working more than 20 years.
Her passion was hand quilting and she could always be found with a quilt in progress. She was known as the family genealogist and enjoyed her garden and flowers. She's known by many as "Nana" and will be missed.
The family would like to send a special thank you to our Bristol Hospice Family especially Kristie, Roxanne, and Nunsook for their loving care for our Mom.
