Pasquale Nicholas DeGeorge, age 77, passed away at Queens Medical Center West Oahu on August 19, 2024 with his wife and daughter by his side. Longtime resident of Waianae, Hawaii, Pasquale (“Pat”) was born on October 8, 1946, the third of 5 siblings. He grew up in Clifton Heights, Pennsylvania before serving in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He continued his career in Aircraft Maintenance for 50 years, retiring in 2014 from FedEx. An avid animal lover, Pat rescued and cared for countless orphaned animals during his lifetime. He will be remembered for the big warm smile he gave to everyone, his genuine compassion for animals, and his great love for his family. Pat was truly a kind and gentle soul, and will be dearly missed.
Pat is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jennie DeGeorge, daughter Maria Edwards (Donald), two grandchildren Chase and Ava Edwards, brother Harry J. DeGeorge (May), sister Carol Leonard, and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Mary Corea & Harry A. DeGeorge, son Pasquale DeGeorge Jr., brother Raymond N. DeGeorge, and sister Francine Moran (Jim).
Services will be held in Pennsylvania at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Pat’s name to the Oahu SPCA, 823 Olive Avenue, Wahiawa, HI 96786, or https://oahuspca.org/donate.
