Philip was born on the island Kauai, Hawai’i to Antone and Odelia Pavao. He was the eldest of five, one brother (deceased) Anthony Pavao, (Hilo Hawai’i) three sisters, Henrietta Stakabaun (KS)
Elizabeth Fletcher (CA) and (deceased) Dolores Ann Breauz (TX)
Philip grew up in Ewa Plantation on the island of Oahu, Hawai’i.
Graduated from Waipahu high school. Joined the Air-Force and stationed in Germany.
He was a mechanic at Schofield Barracks for 29 yrs. an active Catholic, joined Knights of Columbus, volunteered to help as an usher at Sunday services. He enjoyed golfing and bowling.
He is survived by wife Lydia Pavao,
son, Philip Manuel (Manny) Pavao, Jr.
and daughter Helene U’I’Lani Book.
He has 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
