Dear Jenn and family,I never knew your mom or dad; but I got quite close to the best that they had to give, you. There is no doubt in my mind that they were beautiful, wonderful, loving parents. The daughter that has remained in my heart over these many years has been so good about keeping in touch, something that I have treasured so very much. And I got to watch her children grow up over the years. Always, Mom's love for them was evident. Jenn, Ka Uka Boulevard! I drove from there for 12 years during my tenure at school after having lived on campus for 8 years. I am no longer a spring chicken--actually, I was no spring chicken when I returned to Punahou to teach in 1980. I no longer drive at night. I would greatly appreciate your snail mail address. Losing a mom, a brother, a dad. . . way to many "empty chairs". My heart is holding you close at this sad, difficult time.
