Refugio Alcon Obituary
Refugio Luga Alcon 97, of Waialua, Oahu, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 29, 2022. He was born in Sarrat, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. Refugio served in the Filipino Guerillas during WWII. He worked at the Waialua Sugar Plantation as a poison sprayer for 40 years. He retired from Hawaii Landscape & Nursery Inc. as a maintenance landscaper. He is survived by his children, Josefina Guillermo, Wilfred Alcon and Encarnacion Uyehara; granddaughters, Anne Estrada, Jessica Tuifagu and Jeremi Ganotisi; grandsons, Wilfred Alcon (Jr), Jordan Guillermo, Kyle Uyehara, Ryan Uyehara and Craig Uyehara; great grandson, Roman Estrada; great granddaughters, Leilani Estrada, Gwen Alcon, Winifred Alcon and Penelope Ganotisi. A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Mililani Memorial Park and Mortuary, Mauka Chapel. Visitation: 9:30 am; Services: 10:30 am. Lunch to follow. Burial 2:00 pm at Valley of the Temple.
