Remigio "Mike" Domingo Juan's Obituary
Remigio “Mike” Domingo Juan of Mililani, Hawaii passed away on October 22, 2025. He
was 85 years old. Remigio was born on December 24, 1939 in Navotas, Laoag City, Philippines.
In his early days, he made his livelihood through farm work and hauling passengers in a horse-drawn carriage, more commonly known in the Philippines as a kalesa. He later
received a B.S. in Elementary Education from La Union School of Arts and Trades. A
dedicated educator, he taught grades 4 thru 6 for 15 years, leaving a lasting impact on
countless students in the City of Kidapawan.
In 1984, Remigio immigrated to Hawaii and married his beloved wife and lifelong
partner, Erlinda Juan. For more than 20 years he worked as a plant utility laborer at
Tileco, Inc until he retired in 2008.
Remigio found his peace and joy in gardening. The abundance of fruits and vegetables
found in his garden was enjoyed by family, friends, and neighbors alike. He enjoyed
cooking, sharing meals, and most recently became a devoted participant in his church
community. He loved his family; he took immense pride and joy in his daughter and
grandchildren and traveled often to be near them.
He is survived by daughter, Jennifer (Jonathan) Shin; two grandchildren, Trislynn Jayde
and Tysen Jon; siblings, Vergilio (Pacita) Juan, Estefania Regua, Avelino Juan,
Carmelita Juan, and Perlita Juan; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by wife, Erlinda Juan; parents, Florencio and Dionicia Juan,
and two brothers, Jose (Lucena) and Edison (Constancia) Juan.
He was a man of modest means but boundless heart, he lived simply and gave deeply. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Wake Service will be held on Thursday, December 04, 2025 at Mililani Mortuary Mauka Chapel.
Visitation begins at 5:30 pm and Service 6:30 pm.
Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 05, 2025 at St. John A & E Catholic Church, Mililani.
Visitation begins at 10:00 am and Mass 11:00 am.
Burial to follow, 1:30 pm at Mililani Memorial Park Cemetery.
