Revelina Vaquilar Pablo's Obituary
Revelina Vaquilar Pablo (Belen), 99, of Waipahu, Hawaiʻi, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2025. She was born on October 22, 1926, in Makaweli, Kauaʻi.
Revelina spent her early years in the Philippines, where she attended high school through her second year. Her education was interrupted by the events of World War II, during which she became a survivor of the Battle of the Philippines. Despite the hardships she endured during this pivotal time in history, she demonstrated remarkable resilience and strength.
Following the conclusion of the war, she met Pedro Pablo, whom she later married. Revelina lived through many significant historical milestones, including World War II and the Statehood of Hawaiʻi. After starting her family, she returned to Hawaiʻi and made her home in Waipahu on the island of Oʻahu. There, she devoted herself wholeheartedly to her family and home, nurturing generations with unwavering love, care, and dedication. Her life was one of quiet strength, sacrifice, and deep family values, leaving a lasting legacy that will be cherished for years to come.
She is survived by her daughters, Charito Gonda and Lilia Vaquilar; twelve grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren, all of whom will continue to honor her memory and the values she instilled.
A Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Mililani Mortuary Mauka Chapel. Visitation will begin at 5:30 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at St. Joseph Church, Waipahu. Visitation begins at 10:00 am and service at 11:00 am.
Burial to follow at 12:30 pm at Mililani Memorial Park Cemetery.
