We women in San Francisco knew Ricco as Candy Man. He always brought chocolates when he came to visit. There were many runs to Starbucks. Then, after work, he'd get someone to drive him to vinyl record store. It was a treat when he came to visit. He was fun to work with! A good friend.
RIP. I saw Riccio (as he was universally known at work) most weekdays from about 1999 until I moved off-island in 2018, and will always remember his sharply pointed sense of humor and his practical solutions to problems. In addition to vintage audio equipment the man loved drinking Starbucks coffee, and would often surprise his building security guards by bringing back a cup or two for those on duty.Plus I’ll never forget his most famous catch phrase: “If there’s not friction, there’s slippage!â€
