Ricky Shigeo Umeda's Obituary
Ricky Umeda Obituary
Ricky Shigeo Umeda was a beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather. He is survived by his wife Ellen, three daughters Candice, Darnell and Melissa and sons-in-law Gregg and Marcello. Ricky also has four grandsons Kade, Tallen, Tanner and Kai.
Ricky was born in Honolulu, HI on October 6, 1951 and passed away peacefully on March 8, 2023. It was no coincidence that he chose International Women’s Day for his passage as a tribute to his wife and three daughters.
Ricky cared very much for his family and the wellbeing of his children and grandchildren - he was a guiding light always looking after everyone’s best interests. He spent a lot of time teaching and sharing what he learned in life. Ricky was a Construction Project Supervisor and was in the industry for 32 years. He enjoyed inventing and innovating products to make them to his liking. He was very skilled at “Macgyvering” things. He was always working on a project at home and enjoyed woodworking and taking care of his plants. He always had a special place in his heart for his plants and pet dogs. Although he seemed like a very serious person from the outside, he would always be joking when around his family or people he knew.
Thank you for being such a great Husband, Father and Grandfather to all of us. We love you so much and we will remember you forever. May you rest in peace.
