Bob and I were long-lost friendsâ€¦ We met in 1968 when I started working at the Hawaiian Air Overseas Department. Although Bob was eight years older he became an immediate - and very good - friend. After Bob married Judy weâ€™d get together for dinner and BBQs - we even had our occasional foursome at Bayview Golf: Bob and Judy, Helene and myself. And of course, with the addition of kids there picnics and birthday partiesâ€¦ A lot of good times! We carpooled for a couple of years from Ewa Beach to the airport - along with our friend Lucky. Our move to the Bay Area reduced communication to Christmas cards. Despite the years of non-contact, memories of Bobâ€™s friendship, decency and values remain strong. Amen Floyd. During the turbulent days at Hawaiian your father was one that worked effortlessly to save the airline. He always put his fellow employees first and did whatever he could to help them in any way possible. He was a great man and friend, and will be tremendously missed. I'm proud to have known and worked with him. RIP Bob!

i worked a number of years with your father doing loading and unloading of luggage as well as union work representing our fellow workers. He was a very dedicated man and put his life into his work. I will always be proud to say that we worked well together and represented our fellow workers at Hawaiian Airlines with all that we had. Many of our fellow union memers benefited from our representation and your father was at the forefront of making that happen.I lost contact with him after I retired in 2014 and regret that we did not keep intouch in his final years.May he rest in peace .With my sincere sympathy,Floyd
