Rodolfo Dioso de Vera aka "Rody" aka "Rudy" of Aliamanu, was born in Manila, Philippines on September 8, 1934 to Nicasio and Felicidad.
Rody was known for being mellow and loving life. You could catch him chillin somewhere with a beer and bidding aloha with a "God bless". Rody started his humble beginnings in Manila, and it continued on in Hawai'i-nei for 54 years. He loved the Hawai'i culture and was thrilled to be an American citizen. He retired working at his children's Liliha Saimin factory.
On July 8th, Rody passed away in the presence of his Hawai'i family members. Rody was 86 years old. He is survived and +predeceased by the following:
Wife: Marina Gabriel de Vera, wife of 60 years
Children: +Ray de Vera, Rob de Vera (Marlana), Mei Rawlings (Ryan) and Rose de Vera-Javier (Dino)
Grandchildren: +Roland Dean, Ray Matthew and Rachel Faith Javier (Dino/Rose), Aliyah Rayne, Christopher James and Jonathan Anthony de Vera (Rob/Marlana)
Siblings: +Norma Asuncion (+Francisco), Elvira Gallano (+Juan), +Lito (Mary), Sonia Millan (Romy), Nita Ulep (+Marcelino), Eddieand Orlan (Veronica)
Survived by cousins, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces in USA and Philippines, and also family pet, Roodles. More of Rody's biography and eulogy will be shared at his Life Celebration & Service, which is scheduled as follows:
