Rogelio "Roy"Nunes Costales, 77, of Waipahu, Hawaii, passed away on March 25, 2024. He was born on October 13, 1946 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Roy was an Arborist with the City & County of Honolulu who spent his free time diving, racing cars and fighting chickens.
Roy is survived by his loving companion, Cindy Costales; son, Royce Costales; daughters, Franchesca Rose Konopaski (Christian), Regina Costales, Rochelle Ahia (Waldo), Robyn Costales, and Roanne Costales Tuliao (Rodney); brothers, John Costales (Dolores), and Rudy Costales (Lucy); sister, Felicidad Aragon; 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his parents, Esteban and Clara Costales; sisters, Pacita Ramirez, Concepcion Leonores, Dominga Retrata, Josephine Derryberry, and Esther Tagupa.
A Celebration of Roy's Life will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at the Hawaii Okinawa Center's Legacy II Ballroom; 94-587 Uke'e St.; Waipahu, HI 96797.Gathering of Family and Friends will begin at 10:00am followed by the Celebration of Life Service at 11:00am. Food and fellowship will continue at the luncheon following the services.
