Rosa Buendia Obituary
Rosa (Rosie) Gozon Buendia of Mililani, Hawaii passed away peacefully on March 16, 2020 at the age of 98. She was surrounded by family, her son Bobby Buendia, daughter Dolores (Doris) Buendia Schmidt, son-in-law Mike Schmidt. Rosa was born March 14, 1922 in Iba, Zambales, Philippines.
She is survived by her daughters Corazon (Cora) Santillan, Aurora (Oying) Pugeda of Illinois, Teresa (Ettie) Sotelo of Philippines, Dolores (Doris) of California, son Bobby Buendia of Mililani, Hawaii; sisters Irene Gozon of New Jersey, Amalia (Ne) Sadlek of Philippines, Estelita (Lita) Bolo of Illinois, Elsa Espiritu of Illinois, Fe Cayabyab of California, Caridad (Neneng) Lara of Philippines, Cindy Garke of Illinois, brother Cesar Gozon of Philippines.
She is also survived by 13 grandchildren: Tricia, JP, Jill, Pauline, Melissa, Mae, Oliver, Marc, Sharon, Richard, Aileen, Mya, Aaliya; and 12 great grandchildren: JP IV, Paolo, CJ, Sebastien, Lincoln, Russell, Jazmine, Nicole, Jake, Ethan, Casey, Selena.
The family feels comfort that she is in the company of her husband, Ernesto Buendia (2011), her son Armando (Boy) Buendia (1998), her grandson Paolo Santillan (1985), her parents, her siblings.
Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions on funeral services, travel, and social distancing, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in California.
