Rosario Caratozzolo Obituary
ROSARIO (RUSS) CARATOZZOLO (ZOLO), 83, of Aiea, passed away in August 2020. He was born in Brooklyn, New York.
Russ served in the United States Marine Corps before becoming an English teacher at Kawananakoa Middle School, Stevenson Middle School, and McKinley High School. He was an avid tennis player right up to his passing, and a published author spurred by a deep passion for reading and writing. A kind and generous man with a love for learning, he will be dearly missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.
He is survived by his ohana-- wife, Alice; daughter, Lucille Hage (Anthony); sons, Frank Catania, Raymond Catania (Brenie), Matthew Catania (Annie); brother, Joseph Caratozzolo (Anette); eight grandchildren: Giuseppe (Sabrina), Kiku, Dulce, Dolly, Christian (Desiree), Avery, Angela, and Emil; and 2 great grandchildren: Makaio and Afon.
A memorial will be held at a later date.
