Our Dear Friend Rose who we’ve known from High School. We will cherish All the fond memories & great times we shared with you throughout our 45 years of Forever Lasting Friendship. We miss you dearly & May you Soar with the Angels 💝 We will meet again.
On August 30, 1992 I moved to Honolulu Hawaii. On September 6 1992, I met Rose, at Calvary Chapell of Honolulu just a week before Hurricaine Iniki hit Hawaii. Islands. Pastor Chuck Smith was in Honolulu for a Pastor's Conference and he introduced Rose and I and told us to take care of each other and be friends forever. And we did from that day on we shared a lot of life. I moved to Kona Hawaii on August 31,1993 to 2017. Our friendship continued with Rose coming to visit me in Kona many times. It was always a celebration and laughter when I picked her up at the Kona Airport. We always had a ball. Fast forward to her wedding in Honolulu where I was one of the maids of honor. It was beautiful. Then she moved to Germany and my sister Mercedes and I went to visit her, toured Frankfurt and several small towns and we headed to Millstatt, Austria where Calvary Chapel had a castle where young people were training for missions. Papa Chuck Smith secured our rooms by just making a phone call to the management at the Castle. It was glorious until we returned to the castle after touring the town and were told our USA was attacked--it was September 11, 2000. We were able to return to our USA safely. I return of Germany to visit my cousin in Siegburg and Rose met me in Stuttgard and drove me where she was living (can't remember the name). Visit with her for a week and shared life. It was different and challenging for her but we made it a great celebration. Then, another milestone, I met the love of my life Mike Avilla in Kona and Mija Rose attended our Wedding on February 24, 2017. She was super happy that the Lord brought me a faithful christian man. We last saw each other at the Kona Airport; she was going back to Honolulu and my darling husband and I were on our way to Lanai for our honeymoon. February 26, 2017 was our last goodbye. We hugged and said goodbye. Little we knew that it was our last hello and goodbye. We will see each other in Heaven, my dearest Mijja Rose. To the dearest Banda family whom I met several times while I visited Rose, my deepest condolences. Judith
My condolences to the Banda family on this sad news of Rose’s passing. I first met Rose over 20 years ago, when she was visiting with our mutual friend, Judith Gomez-Perez Avilla. Rose was someone you liked right off the bat. She was energetic and fun to be around. My last remembrance of Rose was her toasting Judith and Mike at their wedding. I was sorry to learn of her passing; but I am comforted that she was a believer in our Lord and a savior, Jesus Christ. We will meet again! Rest in Peace, Rose. I’m glad we were friends.
My Dear Rose! So many fond memories of you over more than 40 years since we met. All the crazy times in college where we would hang out and chat, ride in Uncle Willies car with your head out the Sunroof. To the many meals we shared and the places we would go, packing your suitcases and cardboard boxes. There were always many laughs and heated discussions, but you always enjoyed life to the fullest and did what your heart desired, and that's what I loved about my crazy Rose! 🌹 Your sparkle and shine will be missed, but I know you are in a better place with our heavenly Father. I Love you and will always cherish our friendship! 💕 My deepest condolences to the family.
I know Rose and remember her very happy and contagious smile and her willingness to help . A very kind human spirit being. My sister Judith introduced me to her and my husband when we lived in the Big Island . We have great memories also w my son Logan . We have pictures of all of us walking on Alii drive . She was a very loving person and faithful friend . She is resting in peace and in the arms of Jesus Christ now .
