Rosebella Stewart Obituary
ROSEBELLA DELA CRUZ STEWART, 61 of Ewa Beach, passed away on June 8, 2024 in Honolulu, HI. She was born in #44 Zamboanga, Laoag City, Philippines and later migrated to O’ahu, Hawai’i in 1968, days before her fifth birthday. She went to Pohakea Elementary School, Our Lady of Perpetual Help (OLPH) and later graduated from James Campbell High School in 1981.
Rose was a driven entrepreneur having an extensive career with Avon, where she marketed beauty and personal care products to customers across the island. She later began her career with Wal-Mart as the Domestics Department Manager and then later as a Receiving and Invoicing Clerk. After 15+ years with Wal-Mart, she took some time off to enjoy her granddaughters, most of whom were affectionately given the middle name “Rose”. Soon after they were of school age, she worked as a Cashier at Texaco in Mililani.
Rose enjoyed crafting like sewing Hawaiian print quilts, baby blankets and creating one-of-a-kind photo album covers. Her curiosity to try new things and her strong will to stay busy led her to learn the generational traditions and skillful art of making Filipino (Ilocano) desserts like Tupig, Dudol, Puto, and Paridosdos. She had great pride seeing repeat customers, family, and friends partake and enjoy her creations.
Those that know Rose best, describe her as having the biggest heart; someone who went to great lengths to uplift her loved ones and those she cared about.
Rose was preceded in death by her Father, Faustino Pascual and is survived by her Mother, Matilde Pascual; Brothers Danilo Pascual, Jerry (Tim) Pascual; Sisters Imelda (Edward) Vahey, Naty (Donna) Pascual, Judy (Kerry) Stack; Son John Brignoni (Jan); Daughters Tamara (Kerry), Valerie (John), Darlene (Kim), and Rachel (Richard); 8 Granddaughters Adrie, Kerri Ann , Tamyra Ann, Kaya, Tegan, Xialynn, Effanie-Rose, Skye.
Visitation will be at 10:00 am Monday, July 15, 2024 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Ewa Beach. Mass to follow at 11:00 am. Burial will be at 1:30 pm that day at Mililani Memorial.
