I was on her interview committee, and I remember first seeing her smile. Her interview went well. This was a confident, not too nervous, young person. As usual, at the end, we asked if she had any questions for us. She looked across the table to Roberta, sitting by me, ... timidly saying "are you Mrs. Tom?". Roberta, with a wondering look, ..."Yes". Rowena "I had you for PE". Roberta, "Oh that was when I had to be mean. I'm not like that now". That made everyone laugh, .. Rowena with a mischievous smile, as we realized how many years we'd been working.
I will miss that rascal attitude that she tried to hide behind.

I was shocked to hear Rosen’s had passed. Todd had let me know.
Working with Rowena on the HDOE/AAL she was so nice and we laughed a lot. She would call me Dave Navarro as there was a reality show on during that time.
She will be sadly missed. Condolences to her family and friends.

My fondest memory of Rowena is when she first got pregnant. When she told me and started laughing. The whole time I worked with her, people would give her little plants for her office. Within a week, they would be wilted and dry.
So, I told her you can't even keep a plant alive, how are you going to take care of children. But she did and every thought each day of her life, was about her family.
So was my co-worker, my friend and my sister. We always had each other's back. I will miss her laugh.
