Ruby Kahananui Obituary
On Monday July 15th, 2019 days before her 63th birthday Ruby Kuuipo "Ipo" Kala Kahananui unexpectedly passed away. She was born on July 17th, 1956 to Moses Mano Kala & Baylin Kepani Koko. She comes from a very big family of 15 children, she is child #12. She was born and raised in Nanakuli on Pua Ave. also known as First Road. She attended Nanaikapono Elementary and then Nanakuli Intermediate & High School. She met and married Stafford Kahananui, although they had a great love for one another, unfortunately they had no children. She is preceded in death by her: husband Stafford Kahananui, father and mother: Moses M Kala & Baylin K Koko, several brothers and a sister.

All who knew Ipo, knew that she may have been small in stature, but had an enormous heart full of love. She would give you her last dollar, a place to stay or lend an ear to listen to your troubles. She loved the simple things in life. She cringed when it came to drama, but she would always stand up for what she thought was right.

Funeral Services held at Mililani Mortuary Makai Chapel on Friday August 16, 2019 at 5pm - 9pm. Private Family Viewing 5:00 - 5:30pm, Public Viewing 5:30 - 6:15pm, Mormon Services 6:15 - 7:30pm. Light refreshments to follow.
