Sachiko Hookala, 88, of Haleiwa, Hawaii, passed away on October 8, 2022. She was born on November 18, 1933 in Kahuku, Hawaii.
She is survived by her husband, James Hookala; sons, Gary (Debra) Hookala, Grant (Debbie) Hookala; daughters, Doreen (Jimmy John) Brown, and Debbie (Raymond) Quel; daughter-in-law, Rachel Hookala; brothers, Wally (Gwen) Ishimine, Dennis (Sheila) Ishimine, and Yoshito (Janet) Ishimine; sisters, Yoneko (Edgar) Nakayama, Mildred Daimonji, Lorraine (Richard) Graham, Doris Nakata, and Yuriko; sister-in-law, Sueko Ishimine; 17 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.
Sachiko is predeceased in death by her son, Blaine Hookala; father, Kokichi Ishimine; mother, Uta Zukeran; brothers, Fumie Ishimine, Yoshio Ishimine, Minoru (Doris) Ishimine, and Dickey Ishimine; sisters, Mitsue (Tsutomu) Agena, and Kikue (Tadamori) Ige; brother-in-laws, Masa Nakama, Lester Nakata and Robert Daimonji.
Prayer Services will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at Mililani Mortuary Mauka Chapel. Visitation begins at 9:00 am and Service starts at 10:00 am. Burial to follow 11:00 am at Mililani Memorial Park.
