I met Shirley in 1983 and have good memories of helping her with the band students at Trinity Lutheran School in Wahiawa. It was always a pleasure to see her at Long’s and have our parking lot conversations. She was a faithful communicator remembering my birthday and holidays with cards and notes. Shirley was so very generous and I was touched to receive gifts from her when I moved to Ohio five years ago. I am so grateful that she was one of the last people I visited with before I left Mililani. Shirley had a great sense of humor and she was a faithful follower of Christ. May God keep you all in His care and may you find comfort in the good memories.
