Kimberly Gamalog
I remember one of the first errands my parents would send me on after getting my drivers license was to aunty Shirley’s house. They’d often send me to aunty Shirley’s house to drop something off or pick something up, and what would seem like a quick trip to aunty’s house would sometimes turn into hours at her house because she would stop whatever she was doing just to talk story with me or try to feed me whatever she was cooking or had in her pantry. She would ask me how I was doing, how my parents are, and most recently how Ken was. I remember surprising her and the family with a cake from Zippy’s announcing my engagement. I remember a couple weeks before she passed, I asked if she wanted to be a sponsor at our upcoming wedding… and the smile on her face was so big as she replied “of course Kim! No worry!” I’m so sad that she won’t be here to see me get married, to start my family, to get older… But I’m so thankful that she gave me and Ken her blessing. I love you aunty Shirley. Thank you for loving me too.
