IN LOVING MEMORIE
Sidney Paul Liborio
Sunrise 11/07/1961 – Sunset 7/5/2024
Sidney Liborio, was called home to heaven on July 5, 2024. He died peacefully in his sleep with his family by his side.
Sidney was born on November 7, 1961, in Hilo, Hawaii to Eugene and Frances Liborio. His childhood “hanabutta” days was running the streams of Papaikou , where he attended Kalanianaole Elementary school. Later in life he graduated from Hilo High School in 1979 and finished his schooling at UH community college in Auto Mechanics.
Sidney married to Merle Kaua on August 25, 1990. His greatest joy was been a dad to his 3 kids and Papa to his 3 grandchildren. He was for sure a hard worker. He worked various jobs starting from pumping gas at Larry’s Chevron, then driving truck for Suisan, moving onto one of his favorite company Kuwaye Trucking Company, owner of Aloha Cleaning Service, independent dealer for Amsoil, and finally 33 years as a Stevedore for Young Brothers where he retired in 2017.
He loved fishing, hunting and especially cooking. His talent was in auto mechanics. He could trouble shoot vehicles by just listening to the engine. He will be missed for his many talented and teachable ways. If you ever wanted to learn how to fix cars, fish, hunt, or even cook, he made sure you learned. We will miss his ono steam pork, sweet bread, pork and cabbage soup, and lots of Filipino dishes. Our favorite hands down is his famous pork hamha.
Beyond all his many talents, he was a friend to some, a Uncle to many.
A shoulder to lean on and an ear to listen. A laugh and smile when you need one.
Sidney will be very much missed. He was and is loved by his Family forevermore.
